Polly Want a Cracker?

The girls have always wanted a pet for as long as I can remember. They not only wanted a pet, but one that they could pet. A few years ago just after we moved into our house they were at a neighbors house. Megan & Emily talked their friend into taking her goldfish out of the bowl to pet him. The goldfish did not care for that too much. A few weeks ago they were asking for birds, I told them they would have to wait until Daddy came home from Japan. When Sean returns home he is usually in this "Party Dad" mood - whatever the girls ask for they get. So we went to the store to "look" at the birds--of course we were not leaving the store with out them. Over all the birds have been a good pet and the girls love to play with them. Birds are a pet they can hold & pet! Megan's bird is named Blueberry and Emily's is Salty
